Have you ever wondered to yourself how can I effectively communicate with my real estate agent during a real estate transaction …?
So, you have signed a contract with a real estate agent to help you buy a home and/or sell a home. The agent told you all the wonderful things that you needed to hear, so that you can get the desired your results. Weeks go by and you start to have concerns, now what? How can you effectively talk to the real estate agent and let them know that you have concerns?
I know you are thinking, just pick up the phone and talk to the agent about your concerns. Well, that would be one way to look at it, although you really need to think beyond than that!
STEP ONE: Step up Method, Day and Time
To effectively communicate with your real estate agent starts at the actual signing of the brokerage contract. You need to set up the desired methods of communication. If you are a text and email communicator you should make your agent aware of that in the beginning. You may be at work throughout the day and are unable to pick up the phone to make personal calls until late nights. Which lends me to say you need to set up a day and time for you and your realtor to discuss updates and concerns. This is important for both of you. This way you can block out time in your schedule and your realtor can do the same.
